Machine will not automatically move tot eh next cycle

Hi, My Kenmore Elite, Heavy Duty, King size capacity, Quiet Pak II, Top loading washing machine will not automatically move on to the next cycle. I can manually move it into position and it will function just fine in whatever cycle I put it in. It will just not move itself into the next cycle to complete the wash cycle. The water level, agitation, and spin cycle all operate perfectly. I just have to stand by it and manually move it from one cycle to the next. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated!

Set it toward the end of any cycle - it will sense the water level and pump it out before moving on.
