Personally I would locate an illustrated parts manual for your motor and determine if they are interchangeable. Also, check with a Suzuki dealership for interchangeability of the coils. I am a Harley man personally and I would not even think of putting coils on my motor that are not made for it. Bikes are funny creatures and often very unforgiving. Buy OEM parts made for your particiular model motor and you will be very happy. Don't risk it even if there is a chance they are interchangeable. Are you willing to burn up your ignition system for it?

1981 Suzuki gn400 no spark

I know it sounds silly, but have you checked your earth or ground wiring. If not earthed this type of problem can occur. Did the bike run before you replaced your coil etc? You could have a crook CDI
are you using multi meter mate for correct voltage readings?

Look for a coil for 1981 suzi GS550L

You can narrow the search by looking for any twin lead 12 volt points ignition coil, as long as you dont get a cdi, or electronic ignition coil, any point coil will do the job

1982 suzuki gs850 three of the carbs have the passage plug under neath the 40 jet and the 4th one dont. well im only firing on two cylinders and the other 2 are loadin up and foulin out the plugs? and...

not certain on some of your terminology, passage plug? and 40 jet?
if you mean the syncronizing plugs, where the gauges connect too, then the missing one has the hose for the vacumn fuel tap, but this wouldnt foul 2 cylnders
1 and 4, run off one coil 2 and 3 run off the other coil, if one of those pairs is fouling it could be electrical.
