All of my Uniden phones are working well except for #3 which sounds fine but no one can hear what I am saying either with the intercom feature, incoming calls or outgoing calls. Please help.
It worked well for me too! Thanks Fixya.com!! I was told I had to buy a new phone because the microphone went back. Took the receiver apart (4 screws in back of handset and 2 that held the board in place), cleaned mic with alcohol and a q-tip, and removed the rubber piece that kept the mic clean (inside of the housing), and presto, it worked just fine. The ribbon cable came loose upon opening up inside of phone, but I stuck it back inside the top of base and I was ready to go.

I had the same problem with the uniden cordless phones, I have 4 recievers and only 1 phone was working, people could not hear me talk although I could hear them. I removed the cover and cleaned the mic and removed the rubber piece, all the recivers work great know.. thanks for the info. The model of my phone set is DCT646-3

Thank you all. I had the same problem, i took apart the handset, and used some Old Spice After Shave (did not have alcohol or spirit) on the mic to clean it up. I also got rid of that black cover over it. The cleaning fixed mine up.

I had that problem, i took apart the handset, and used alcohol on the mic to clean it up. I also got rid of that black cover over it. I think the glue got all up in it and is stopping the mic from working. The cleaning fixed mine up.

I have the same problem - I had a total of 5 phones on two lines. 3 on one line and 2 on the other. 3 out of the 5 now have the same problem. I can hear the people on the other line but they cannot hear me. The only way to get it to work is if I plug in my headset!
