Question about Olympia OL2410 Cordless Phone

Open Question

LCD Display shows only a line of squares across the middle of the screen

All of a sudden I can see only a line of [][][][][][][][][] like that across the middle of the LCD screen and if I hold the telephone at an angle I can see the name of the person who is calling but not the telephone number. I can no longer tell what time my missed calls were received it is blank above and below the middle of the screen. I unplugged the telephone and that did not work I was not able to remove the battery but the phone works apart from that I am able to make and receive calls it's just the LCD that's no longer working and I haven't had the telephone more than 2 weeks yet!

Nothing but multi colered lines verticly on the screen

Try this:
Turn it off.
Disconnect power cord and any other device attached to it.
Take battery out.
Without anything attached. Hold down the power button for 10-15 seconds.
Connect the power cord only.
Hold down F2 (while it's off)
Turn it on while holding down F2.
Let go of F2 when something comes out of the screen.
If multi colored lines still appears.
You have either defective LCD(screen) or video card.

17" Starlogic Flatscreen LCD monitor has line across the screen

This problem is called dead pixels. You should try to return it to the seller. If the warranty is still valid they will replace it with a new one because LCD screens are extremly hard to fix.
