My washing machine runs perfectly, but on the final spin cycle does not turn off. It just spins and spins and spins.... We live in North Texas, in a fairly humid area. Can this be fixed?
This is no longer a problem. We just carefully cleaned all the contacts and put contact grease on them. So far, no problems. This is no longer a problem. We just carefully cleaned all the contacts and put contact grease on them. So far, no problems.
Gentle Annie - Wouldn't spin on final cycle. Found there was something jamming the pump which I removed. Put the pump back on and electrical leads to the pump. Now it won't stop spinning on the final cycle. Any ideas? ThanksA F & P Kelvinator

My JENNA-AIR washing machine works but once it goes into spin cycles, it will not stop even when I press "stop" . All water pours in during the rinse is immediately drain off by the spin. Thus water never fill up for rinse cycle. The only time it stops spinning is when I open the lid. Can someone give me any suggestion on how to fix it. Repair your Kenmore Top Load Washer suffering from these following issues: Will Not Advance Past Rinse ...
Yes...they use less water...so they start, tumble, then cycle again adding more water. I use the fastest setting on all my clothes which is 1/2 hour. It also does start and stop during spinning to tumble the clothes. It speeds up as it goes thru each stop till it spins real fast. All my clothes wash perfectly on fastest cycle.
I have a problem with my MW512AU. Sometimes it drains after wash cycle, but sometimes it sticks when it goes to spin, doesn't get up to speed, water comes on for about 10 seconds and shuts off, and it tries to spin again. If I hit the wash progress switch it goes directly to final spin and works ok. I then have to run a 2nd wash cycle to rinse the clothes. I also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn on the power point, which lasts about 3 seconds before stopping. It will come back on every 3-4 minutes for 30 seconds. This is with the machine power switch off. It powers on normally.
it will fill but won,t spin, will throw out water as if it washed, then it take water to rinse but won,t spin ,then will throw out water as if it did , but clothes are soaked
If the washer won't finish a spin cycle, it probably means that your timer went bad or stalled. You can take the control panel off and look at the contacts for scorching or corrosion.
The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. Call a qualified appliance repair technician.
sounds like may be in clutch
see if you can help the tub start spinning when trying in spin setting...if trying to turn or turns some and stops most likey clutch slipping
