Dryer runs for fifteen minutes then starts whining and shuts off

When I start the dryer with the belt off it runs good but with the belt on it only runs for fifteen minutes and then it shuts off. Sometimes it is hard to start also.

Could be motor overheating and shutting off. Need to check if drum turns freely. If it does check vent hose making sure it isn't plugged causing dryer to overheat. If motor is bad it will get worse and just not start

Drier shuts down after several minutes, the fan and vent are free of lint. It will start right back up and run several minutes.

Dryer will turn on sometimes, but will cut off randomly!

Check your vent pipe(s) and the lint screen areas .. it sounds like you have blockages and that causes it to shut down .. Check completely from the back of the dryer all the way to the outside vent ..

MAYTAG DRYER LDE4914ACE BELT CHANGE

The belt goes around the pully so that the pully tension takes the slack out of the belt. Just like the serpentine belt on your car.

Where's the short ? My dryer runs hot on all settings but air fluff. I visually checked the element. I found no broken coils or shorts. and it does show continuity. I have replaced the cycling thermostat, High limit thermostat , and thermal fuse. When I watch it run from below , there is some sparking at the black wire connection to the element. Could I be missing something on the coil or is the problem in the wiring?
