Question about Maytag MDB9600A Jetclean II Built-in Dishwasher
Hi there - hope somebody out there has some suggestions for me. Just inherited maytag dishwasher when I moved into my new home - I am not sure of the actual model as it just says Jetclean - it worked fine until yesterday when the knob just seemed to stick half way through the cycle and I had to turn it manually to get it to rinse and then dry! I would prefer to tackle the problem myself rather than getting somebody in to fix it - any suggestions out there.
Emsie, the model number posted has a electronic control so Im not sure where we are going with this. A couple of things to check. Some models have what they call a foam guard routine. This can cause the machine to stop several times during wash because of oversudsing. (too much soap). You want to make sure the water temp going is is at least 120 to 150 degrees. The heater will only raise the water temp 1 degree every 4 or 5 minutes. This can cause long cycles. You might have a bad timer. If you remove the toe panel there should be a tech sheet attached to it. This will give you good information on your dishwasher opertaion...Catriver..post back.
