Hi.

Default password is six zeros (000000). If that does not work, then the password had been changed.

Here correct reset procedure, this will reset DRUM, FUSER and BELT:

1) Turn ON printer and keep holding "+(up)" & "-(down)" and "help" buttons
2)Keep holding and wait until "OKIUSER" message appears
3) Press + or - button until you get "ENGINE DIAG MODE" on display

5) Press + or - button until "NV-RAM INITIAL" is displayed
6) Press "ENTER"
7) Display will show "TABLE 1" message
8) Press "ENTER" until you get "EXECUTING RESET"

How do I factory reset a Lexmark x658de?

When you first enter the printer menus from the operator panel, you may notice an asterisk (*)

next to a value in the menus. This asterisk indicates the factory default setting. These settings

are the original printer settings. (Factory defaults may vary for different countries.)

When you select a new setting from the operator panel, the Saved message appears. When

the Saved message disappears, an asterisk appears next to the setting to identify it as the

current user default setting. These settings are active until new ones are stored or the factory

defaults are restored.

To restore the original printer factory default settings:

1 Make sure the printer is on and the Ready message appears.

2 Press Menu until you see Utilities Menu, and then press Select.

3 Press Menu until you see Factory Defaults, and then press Select.

4 Restore appears on the second line of the display.

5 Press Select.

The message Restoring Factory Defaults appears followed by the Ready

message.

When you select Restore:

No other button actions are available on the operator panel while Restoring
Factory Defaults appears.....

Yeah, I have the HL-5250DN printer. The light

Hi there -

The reason the drum light keeps flashing is that you have to "reset" the machine after you've installed a new drum. To do this, I believe all you have to do is make sure the printer is on and then push and hold down the "GO" button a few seconds and then the flashing will stop. This will "reset" the printer to recognize you've installed a new drum. I'm going from memory on that, but I believe that's correct. It's a really simple solution. Good luck!
