How to switch tv to play games

well there should be an option on your remote labled either source or input. that allows you to change from the iputs on your tv. you need to know which input you plugged your wii into. if you select the option and match your tv input to where you plugged your wii into and you still have no pic.make sure your wii is powered on. as well make sure you plugged the cables in correctly. if your using componet cables its red green blue for video and red and white for audio. make sure the audio and video are not crossed that will cause pic distortion. and if your using composite cables makes sure its red yellow and white plugged into red yellow and white. yellow is for video and red and white are your audio. if all this is correct and still no pic. then it's either your wii or your TV.

I have a CanonPower Shot A1100IS and my pictures when printed are coming out with a red tint. My Christmas pics were terrible. I'm not sure why. Canyou help me?

If the pics look fine on your camera and computer screens, then the problem is with the printer. If they have the red tint on the screens, then you may have the white balance set to something other than "auto".

There is double vision at times, then it goes away.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking pic
*White looking pic
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking pic

When taking pic in sunlight - lcd screen is whited out!!

I think that's normal. I also have experienced the same always when the screen is exposed to sunlight. Try adjusting its brightness or use an anti-glare protection.

Philips 27PT6441 27" TV Problem

jon5902,

Pls note that my experience is with the phillips 27" model27PT6341/07. It may not be the same board as yr model, as I can't remember nor find the service manual anymore. (browse around online for it though)

However, after taking the back off. Look close to the rca jack and svideo connection. Mine is located about an inch from the svideo connection.

Here are some pics that may help you.

The new one is the black and gold one marked 10uf 100v in the pic.
Other users have advised to go as high as 10uf 250v, to avoid having the cap overload again.

PS. I had the lines for about 2 weeks. They got steadily worse then one day my tv looked like it was broadcasting an hourglass. The lines converged in the center and flared outward (no pic).
