Re: RED lamp flakey
When you say skilled I'd STRONGLY suggest be a CET or better to tackle this job or I'd give you a one-in-a-thousand chance of doing it successfully... That said, it's pretty straight forward - the unit has to be torn down to light box level and the crt removed... After disassembly of the coolant chamber from the crt it is recommended by Samsung to install the coolant overflow kit, Samsung bullentin tip # 20040827001. P/N: Aa91-00607a / Bp96-00645a

8720 Went out just prior to playing. Now will start up, go to benq logo then lamp goes off. on top of projector lamp light is red. repeat lamp does go on seems as bright as ever but shortly after benq logo goes off. By my recollection lamp is not beyond it's 2000 hour range.
Hi, Is is standby light blinking red or any other light? Let me know how many times red standby light blinking after three seconds long pause to provide you helpful info. It seems pop sound was due to broken lamp, please check lamp inside tv and if it is broken, replace it to solve tv problem. Hope this will help. Thanks.
Hi, It seems OEM lamp that was replaced in projector is not good, please return this lamp and ask another lamp to solve projector problem. Projector seems fine and has no issue, it is replacement low priced lamp that is causing problem. I would recommend to buy original lamp from Optoma Support. Thanks.
I can fix it for $325? 213 880 1795
It was a convergence problem, both chips goes bad bad also look for bad resistors around the circuit? This is not an easy repair for non skilled person? You need to realign it after replacing the chips? Don't be cheap pay someone to do it right?
I'm having the same problem. My Model is PB8253. Projector started, then afer a couple minutes it goes off with the red lamp led flashing. Just replaced the lamp, but the problem persists. Tried to remove all connecting cables, except for the power, but still the same problem. Anyone with similar problem or solution, please contact me at [email protected]
