Hi. Since you're in UMD Autoload mode, you need to configure that in the PSP Settings. To do this, turn off your PSP and remove your UMD. Now, turn it back on and it won't autoload your UMD since it wasn't there anymore.
Now, go to "Settings" and scroll down to "System Settings" and press X. Scroll down again the selection until you see "UMD Auto-Start" and press X. At the right side will appear the options "ON" and "OFF". Select "OFF" and press O button several times to go back to main screen.
Insert your UMD. Now, try playing games from Memory Stick. You may have to turn off your PSP and turn it on again to finally play homebrew...
I hope this helps...
mate make sure the case of your umd is correctyly placed and put your finger on the umd (where it spins) its like a little circle color silver move it with your finger and make sure it spins..
Hi vincepeterco,
This error happends most of the times, however it can be easly fixed, just fallow this steps:
1 turn off your psp completly, to make sure you turn it completly off u can take te battery off and the put it back on again.
2 turn it back on but this time pressing the right tab on the top of your psp(note: dont let go until you see the recovery mode.)
3 go to configuration
4 and there press X on "UMD Mode(Currently: Normal -umd required-)
5 go back and then exit your recovery mode
6 restart your psp
7 and finally you will b able to play your iso/cso games.
The PSP doesnt realy have any play options when u insert a UMD it will either start atomaticly or you can choose through system settings to turn on or off the UMD auto start which enables the PSP to automaticly start or you can disable the auto start or you can press x on the UMD icon and it will start. Now when it comes to movies you can bring up the movie mode options wich alow you to rewind FF pause all that good stuff. just insert a umd and when it begins to play press triangle. hope this was helpfull
You might have PSP stop reading UMD discs,
First you will do some trouble shooting with what might be wrong with your PSP
unit.
first is the Disc Spinning motor. This will not let The disc in the
UMD spin. On a working PSP you will hear the disc start to spin up, then you can hear the
laser start to twitch, followed by the laser motor moving the laser down the
rails.
2nd is
something stuck in the UMD gear, try to clean the gear of arm of dust, plastic, soda, and even hair.
and at the last is the actual laser itself. It will not focus the laser to read
the UMD disc.
Hopefully this help, Pls post back should you need additional information...!
Try a different disk? I've found that sometimes when you turn on the psp and you're in the game menu of the PSP menu, the UMD won't be there, but if you go over to music or something, and go back to game, it will have returned.
