I just received my sewing machine a couple of days ago and was eagerly trying to use it today. When I depress my foot on the foot peddle, the green light just below the reverse function turns red, the machine beeps and then the it stops sewing. If I lift my foot off of the peddle a little, the red light still stays lit, but I can still sew a few stitches then it happens all over again. If I continue to try to sew, all the lights on the machine start flashing and the machine stops.
After i looked over the machines thred routing i found a pice of thred jamed in under the top clear plastic panel i took thihs panel off and removed the thred ,cleaned in there put it back togather and it now works fine just what i found hope it works for others

try threading the machine top and bobbin try a different bobbin try a different needle --make sure it's the right one for the fabric being sewed clean under the needle plate and in the bobbin area for lint the machine could have a computer problem if the suggestion don't help then the machine needs to be checked
on my machine, as janome, there is a feed dog lever behind the bobbin are, and a pressure foot adjust on the top of the machine. But idf you have touched those perhaps something is catch in them and thats why it keeps happening ??
Look at the back of the needle threader. There is a buttonhole lever. Pull it down and push it back to the top. The machine gives a warning message if the lever is down and you wants to sew or embroid.
