Me and my dad both purchased the same camera about 2years ago. Back in April this year I had the same problem with mine where there was a blank screen in cam mode both via the view finder and LCD. I borrowed my dads for a holiday in september which worked find. I recharged it last night ready for use tomorrow for another holiday and this one now has the same problem. Has anyone started a battle with Samsung about this yet?

No its not with the samsung alone. Both of your cameras suffer from defective CCD. I think if the cameras were manufactured between 2002-04 then they must be having manufacturing defect. Contact your local Samsung and ask about the world wide problem of defective CCD that were replaced by almost all the camera manufacturers FREE of cost.

el problema es el siguiente la imagen no se ve, ni en el visor ni en el lcd solo se ve como la pantalla en negra creo q es el ccd el menu y todo lo demas correcto
