With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" (called "initialize" on some cameras) and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work properly.
You need a separate memory card to store more images on your camera. You camera comes with the ability to store only a few pictures on it.
You need an SD card. They come in different sizes. You can find them pretty much anywhere. The error your getting is your camera telling you it can't store more pictures without an SD card.
Good Luck!
You will need to use a computer, there is no option for direct transfer from internal memory to SD card.
Remove the SD card from inside the camera and connect the camera to the computer using an USB cable. With no SD card the computer will show the pictures stored in camera's internal memory. Copy the pictures in the internal memory in computer hard disk, then eventually move them onto the SD card.
The pictures that are stored on your camera memory cannot be transferred to the SD Memory Card. They must be downloaded to your computer first and then transferred via a card reader, if you intend to get them to the SD Memory Card. The two memory areas, internal and SD memory work separate of each other and the camera only operates from one. IF the system detect SD Memory than that is where the images are saved, if not, they automatically go to the internal memory.
Hi. The PL80 has an 86MB internal memory so it does not sound as if there is anything wrong. However you can buy an SD or SDHC memory card and use that as well, so you can take a lot more pictures.
The number of pictures which can be stored depends on the size of the internal memory, or the extra memory card, and whether you set the camera to record the images in 'Normal', 'fine', or 'super fine' mode. This determines how compressed the images will be, and how much memory each one will use up.
A 1GB card would give around 160 pictures in super fine mode. Have fun with your camera!
The five pics are being stored on the camera's internal memory. The card you used was formatted and used in your phone. It's a miracle it worked at all. You need to get a new card, format it in your new camera have fun.
if the display its ok ..I suspect something wrong with the internal memory ..try to remove the SD memory card and see if the pictures are actually stored on the card..and download directly from the card using a card reader ...if you only use the 32M internal memory and didnt expend on a Sd card ...probably its full or something wrong and do not store pictures anymore ..and thats why it doesnt sow'em anymore ...try to reset the camera to default setings Im not sure but all cameras have something lik ethis in menu...and try to see again the results...but if the camera works ok ..but cause a malfunction of software it do not sowa the pictures anymore ..the solution is to download from the SD mem card directly using a card reader ...most laptops have sd card reader ..and all picture printers read from the card too
Remove SD card, then whilst card is removed, delete all pictures that may still be stored in cameras 'internal' memory (usually just a few) then replace SD card. Should be unlocked now?.
