I get 5 blinks on the panel and picture goes out....

I have the InFocus ScreenPlay 61md10 61 in. Rear Projection and once i turn it on after a minute or so, I get 5 blinks on the panel and picture goes out....sound remains. Is it the bulb or a voltage problem? How can i tell? I tried unpluging the tv and waiting for a while. I get the same result. When the picture is on, it seems vibrant. I mean there does seem to be any loss of brightness or clarity.

I'm getting the same 5 blinks and the bulb is brand new. Checked voltage at the bulb and I'm only getting .07 Volts!

If you read the manual the 5 blinks indicates that the bulb needs to be replaced.

61md10 61 in. Rear Projection HDTV by inFocus. Screen is black and menu buttons flash on and off a few times. No picture comes on. Any advice?

Could be as simple as a burned-out lamp, but flashing buttons on the panel mean that it's trying to tell you something's broken, so it might not be just the lamp.
You, sir (mam?), need a manual, or somebody who has one. I do, but it's at home. Perhaps if you responded with how many times the lights flash, I could look it up...

Dlp 61md10 Has a black screen i have sound but no picture

The same thing just happened to me today. I finally disconnected the power cord from my 61md10 for a few minutes, then plugged it back in and turned it on. Not sure how this fixed it, but when I changed the input back to HDMI, the black screen was gone and I was getting a hi def picture again.

Tv screen will freeze up after running and then go out while the lights blink on and off. I have replaced the bulb, but that did not take care of the problem

I have the same problem. It flashes ten times when booting up. Once it starts displaying a video image, it freezes after 10 seconds and then cycles off. It cycles on a minute or more later.

I turned it on and got a very dark picture so I turned it off. Now I don't get any picture and it just keeps whining. What is the deal?

Seems like either the bulb or the color wheel may have problem. To check both the lamp and wheel requires opening the front panel. Let me know if you need more info......

Infocus 61md10 ScreenPlay projects "BLUE PEOPLE"...HELP!

sounds like the color wheel isnt spinning at the right index speed, most likely due to bad bearings in the color wheel.
