Vocopro reset Turns on ok. Then after playing a disk or two, will not recognize anything. I turn off the unit, then turn it back on and again, it will play a disk or two and then not recognize disks again. Is there any kind of a reset on these units?

SOURCE: CD player won't play disk and says "no disk"

The problem of "'no discs'"displayed is in the mechanism in the roller thats moving back and port bringing the lense set .The old grease thier is already hardened that cause the problem.Clean that by using a lighter fluid or like that fluid to take the old grease, and put it with a new one first class grease type-A grease put only a little grease and wipe the lense with a cotton buds without any chemicals on it .Try this solution so performance will be better.

SOURCE: it won't play disks and

The mechanical parts are working but the laser pickup assembly is not reading the disc. The possible causes are, dirty laser pickup lens, bad pladder motor, or no b+ to the motor, or worn out laser assembly system. Because of the expense of buying the Bose units I highly recommend a professional service man to work on the item.

Have the Samsung BDP1590. The screen only says CLOSE and will not do anything else. Tried the reset instructions but nothing happens. The DVD player is less then a year old. Can someone help me out.

I had this problem when trying to play Avatar and my player locked up. I'll assume you have a disk inside when this happens.

Try pressing the power button to turn it off, then turn it back on again but as it starts press the Open/Close button - you may have to do it twice because at the first press my BDP1500 says "CLOSE" then a second quick press will show "OPEN". Take the disk out, then try another disk. If it's a problem with trying to play a recent disk you should be ok until you try to play it again. Read up on updating your firmware, etc. Good luck.

My playstation has frozen and will not play anything

ok so the first thing that you need to do is unplug it for at least three minutes, then plug it back in to the wall and power it on make ssure it turns on and take out the current disk, put another disk in and see if it plays that it might be the disk sensors

Self tests show ok, reset ok, satellite just says searching

make sure the battery is charged up good, then take it outside and turn it on and leave it in clear view of the open sky for up to 30 minutes to acquire the satellites especially if its been reset.

if that fails, reset the unit...turn it on, then slide the reset switch on the top of your 800 to the opposite position and once it turns off, slide the reset back to the normal position and turn it on again and take it back outside and let it in clear view of the open sky for up to 30 minutes.

if that fails..go HERE and get the update for which ever 800 model you have...you will have to sign on to the Magellan site before you can download anything.

if you need more help, just post back

I have been playing my playstation 3 on a regular Hd tv and it worked fine but now it wont connect to my Protron (HDMI) tv with my HDMI cable.

you have to reset the video setting and it will work again Hdmi is different on each tv so you have set this up again ok let's do this with the unit off turn the main switch on the back of the unit connect your Hdmi cable to your tv now place your finger on the front on/off switch keep your finger there ok now turn the mainswitch on the back of the unit the playstation turns on but don't remove your finget yet wait about 4 seconds or until your heard another bip (not the one when the playstation turns on) once you heard this bip remove your finger before the playstation turns off if you let it turn off try again all of this but if you remove your finger on time just wait few more seconds and bingo you have picture again using Hdmi

Getting out of recovery mode

Detach your player from the PC if it is connected, and turn off the player.
If the player stops responding, you can reset the player. To reset the player, gently
insert a thin object into the Reset hole located below the power switch.

2. Press and hold the Play button while powering on your player.

3. When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button.
do a Clean Up
this Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.
Does not affect music files themselves.
Reboot the device.

it it continues to boot into revcovery mode see below:

Booting straight to the Recovery menu
I decided to open it up to check out the hard drive to see what kind I would need so I could try replacing it. The data plug that attaches to the hard drive itself was partially unplugged. So, I pushed it back in all the way, put it all back together again, and turned it on just to see if something different might happen. (I had it set in my mind that the hard drive failed and I would need a new one, so I didn't expect anything different to happen) And to my surprise, it worked just like new again.

Before you go off and invest in a new hard drive, I suggest opening it up and make sure that plug is in all the way. Since you'll be opening it up in any case, it wouldn't hurt

Ipod 30 gb

Reboot your ipod in Disk Mode then try itunes again. Also make sure your itunes is setup so it boots up when it sees it. (that way you know it sees the device)

As far as seeing it "usb mass storage" that is a good sign. You maybe able to recover items with a good friend called LINUX which is compatable with apple software.

Disk Mode:
Hold the select and menu button and once the device turns off hold the select and play button and hold it until it says Disk Mode.

Once booted in Disk Mode try to connect via usb.

DVD displys "loading" constantly

First of all if it is still under warranty take it back and exchange it or have them look at it. As far as it not wanting to turn off you can search for a reset button on the back of the unit. Reset it. Or if no reset button just unplug it and plug it back in. See if that helps. As far as being jammed. Unplug the unit. Very carefully take the unit apart. See if anything has been accidentally placed in the unit when a dvd was pushed in at the same time. I have experienced this before cause I have little kids. Things happen. Now there again by taking it apart could void any warranty you may have. Also something in the unit could also shorted a circuit out causing it to not turn off.
