Last night everything was working fine with the television and then it started changing channels on it's own and would cut itself on and off. I thought it may have been the batteries dieing in my remote, so I took the batteries out and it still did it. We unplugged the TV for a little bit and then plugged it back up and it was doing the same thing. My hubby is a TV fanatic....please help if at all possible.
Take the front speaker cover off and unhook the circuit board for the buttons its like a 7 pin connector our's did the same thing and we spent 200.00 getting boards soldered just to bring it home and it still flipped thru channels and then shut off. I took the circuit board off and it works fine.

Like your computer a tv has the same type of circuits, & sometimes they get glitches, maybe, but i feel you might be starting to have a problem in the 'DMD" board in your tv. Maybe not; unplug tv for 10 min to 24 hrs. I am a mit factory auth tech. good luck,.

Try to tune the tv in manual search method. If you get means store it manually. Nothing to worry. This is due to malfunction in AUTOMATIC FREQUENCY CONTROL COIL weak. Even you won"t get channels in manual tunning method. Change tuner and afc coil. Problem solved.
You can go back to factory settings by pressing and holding the ACTION and POWER buttons on the TV while it is on. A CHK screen will appear and when it does release the buttons and then power the set off then on again. This had reset all settings back to factory conditions. You will have to reprogram any channels into memory after this.
