Is it worth getting my fridge freezer fixed?

My Beko CA5411FF has packed up :(. It had been making gurgling sounds for a few days before it stopped working. The freezer fan is blowing warm air and the fridge section has stopped cooling. Changed the thermostat to 5 (coolest setting) but the fridge is just stays warm. The frozen food defrosted and had to be chucked away. Can anyone tell me whether it's worth getting an engineer out to check the FF or should i just call it a day and accept that the Beko has reached the end of its lifecycle. It is just over 4 years old. lt would be great to hear from other people who have had similar experiences with their Beko FF.

SOURCE: freezer works, fridge is warm

Your defrost timer seems to be bad. Find it at the bottom of the fridge and turn the knob to see if it activates. If it does then it is bad. If it doesn't activate then your element or thermosat is bad. These parts are not to expensive and you can do it yourself and save some big bucks. Be safe and disconnect power before servicing.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite Trio Refrigerator not cooling

No, it is not a failed condenser. You need to see if the compressor is running though. When it runs you shaould have a fan in the freezer running, a fan underneath the fridge running, and the compressor should be running. I would be willing to bet that either the compressor is bad, or the start relay on the compressor.

Should I repair or just replace my Liebherr fridge/freezer

Looks like this model is now out of date and I wouldn't trust your service guy. Any service agent will know whether the door switch, thermal sensor or control panel is faulty by simply testing them. I would not have to fit complete parts to isolate the faulty part.
Sounds like he doesn't know how to or wants the job of fixing it.
Try an independant repair service, local one man repair shops tend to give an excellent service.
If you want Currys do a good range of fridge freezers; https://www.currys.co.uk/search?q=Liebherr+fridge-freezer+model+CPEL4813&search-button=&lang=en_GB

To show just one retailer. There are many more out there. Try and buy locally if you can, you will get a better service I find.

I bought a Philips (Whirlpool) years ago and after 3 years, out of warranty, it packed up. The aluminium heat exchanger started leaking. Not worth repairing.
I now purchase Hoover. They has a 10 year parts warranty.
They are all 15 tears old now.
One gets what one pays for I suppose.

My mothers beko fridge freezer making bubbling sound

Sounds like the evaporator fan is doing its job. Nothing to worry about. Good hearing is a blessing all fridges make different sounds some click loud while others gurgle loud. Some pop and snap. Till I got my hearing aids I didn't know mine ran so loud and clicked.

Rattle and Gurgling noises

It's the fan bouncing off the fan-motor housing. The best way to stop this is to shim the motor mount so the fan will ride with the motor shaft "out" preventing it from bouncing. When you raise the fridge on one corner you are doing the same thing the shim will accomplish.

The draining gurgling sound is probaby freezer defrost water being pushed down the drain tube into the drip pan at the bottom. The door action pushes/pulls air in the tube and pushes out water.

Samsung Fridge Freezer (Freezer on top)Model SR-52NXA wont cool

Depends a bit on whether the compressor really is running, or if it's just humming because it's got power on the run coil, but not on the start coil.

Have a careful listen to the compressor. If it's making the trilling or gurgling sounds that go with a working compressor, then your problem is probably one of lost gas. Fixing this is not a do-it-yourself job.

If the compressor sounds like it's stalled, the problem may lie with the starter. Replacements are usually cheap enough for it to be worth fitting a new one just to see if it works.
