Hi m8s,i have a cheap TV from AG BK-114,when i turn it on its all ok for a few minutes, then the image starts do disappear till its all black but the sound keeps fine, after a few minutes the image comes back again and disppears.I found a damaged capacitor and changed it,when i turn it on the image stands for more time but keeps disappearing,i thought it was something related with the PTC,the only thing i found in the PCB that looked like a PTC was this component MZ73A-18RM.i am still thinking that its a component that isnt working properly when it gets hot. What you think?
i really appreciate your help, its my mother´s kitchen TV :-)
Thanx in Advance.

The remote that came with the box has a power on and off switch (upper left top of the remote and it would be red. After clicking on red button then you need to click the ok button and then you will get a power off with a rotating circle and then it should turn off. There is also an off button in some builds. The tcon board or the LCD panel is faulty. Can confirm by replacing the TCON board.

Your problem could be a capacitor in the power supply section, It could also be the vertical outPut IC, Also could be the PIP module,if the set has PIP, and last but not least a, falure of the horizontal oscillator or the driver circuit. These are not consumer replaceable or serviceable parts as they are all soldered in and theres safty issues with the Hi voltage That should be known before you open or try to repair these sets. Have it serviced at a authorized repair shop. Good Luck
