I have a bush 2167ntx. This telly is a few years old but was working perfectly untill yesterday ,when I suddenly got a thin, bright, white line going horizonialy accross the screen. This has split the picture in the middle. You can still see all the tv picture but the top is a bit distorted (wavy grey lines running accross horizontially) I unplugged the tv set over night and disconected vcr/ dvd. I have tried a different aerial. The line shows on all channels I have no tv fixing knowledge. My loal tv repairer would need me to take the set to his work shop and wants £50 just to look, before quoting. Would it be sensible to do this? or get a new telly? Thanks kaz
A repair like this is in the vertical drive/output section of the TV set. It could be a simple capacitor causeing this problem or a combination of the capacitor and the output IC. A repair like this should not exceed 120 to 150 US. Is it worth that to you? How much can you replace it for? Good Luck PS please dont forget to rate this thread.
