My oven model number is whirlpool MH6159XMT-0. I read a leter from another person with a similar problem.
When the start button is pushed, instead of hte oven, the exhaust comes on: it is an over the range type of oven. Nothing else comees on.
In the other letter, I am referring to, dated Oct 24,206, you replied you repair something like this for about #32. My ZIP code is 60134. Can you tell me how I can get it repaired?
Do you have any suggestion I can try? In the other reply, you said something about checking a door switch. Where can I find a door switch for this model?
Thank you very much.

There is inline fuse about $10..0 a diode for about $15.00 and the magnatron is about $150.00. Unless you possess all the tools required to disassemble test and replace defective parts it probably a better choice to replace it.. A new similar unit is about $270.00 at Lowe's
As You may know, Whirlpool also builds Kenmore products, that being said, You would be far better off buying the exact model door for Your oven. The joy You may get from saving a "C" note on an alternative door option could turn into a Personal B*tt Kicking contest when You discover it almost worked, You CAN'T send it back and You still have to buy the right one. Best of Luck to You.
Hi Adam, Built in over the range? The models change so rapidly unless it is less than a year old there probably wont be an identical replacement, Fortunately the mounting brackets remain close if you stay in the same brand. Whirlpools can be purchased at almost any retailer like Lowe's, Sears, BestBuy etc. Measure the the original and look for one that fits that dimension. Eric
