Sharp CD PC3500 CD Shelf System CD track jumps and doesnot complete song

I have Sharp CD PC 3500 self system. Everything is running fine except CD player. Either it cannot read CD or if reads, cannot complete track. It jumps to next track after few lines. I cleaned head so many times. It did not help.

If you do not mind, also send me email to [email protected] showing solution

My Sharp CD-BH950 mini component system will not change tracks on CD's. Have tried all trays and multiple CD's with no luck. It just plays the first track over and over.

Look over your player and see if a program is set. Sometimes you can set a program on the CD player to play the first song on cds. Turn program play off. It’s sometimes called delete bank where all song are skipped except first track. Or you can have the repeat button on. Turn that off. There also could be a malfunction with the player. If your still having problems reset the system.

Cd doesn't spin

two possible reasons the disc will not spin.

1, wire disconnected inside from the motor
2, the motor needs to be replaced

If the device has an AUX or Ipod input you can use an external CD player, just know the cost of repair will not justify it however if your savy with the tools it mite be worth it to you.

How do i unprotcet my cd-pc 3500

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts and overloads.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced hands-on tech.

I have sharp cd pc3500 stereo system when i turn the power on the message on the screen shows PROTECT. I cant do anything nor any function work

Make sure the speaker wires aren't shorted together and that they are not freyed or cracked...the unit is in protect due to it's internal circuitry sensing a shorted output condition...this is in place to protect the unit should the speaker wires become shorted together. You can remove the speaker wires entirely and then turn on the unit to see if it comes on...if so then I would look at each wire carefully to make sure they look good..of course if the unit comes on and the wires look good then you may have a bad speaker component...Now, if the unit stays in protect after you unplug the speakers, then the unit probably has a blown audio output stage inside the circuitry and will need to be serviced.

Hello, my CD skips after playing 5 songs and then ...

Have you tried cleaning the lens tracking gears with some gear grease? That is most likely the problem. The lens is fine reading the first 5 tracks but when it gets to the 6th one it will start to struggle as it cannot adjust the angle to the correct part of the cd due to the gears or the lens rails been dry or clogged with dust.
