Reset? What do you mean reset? Exactly what is it you are trying to do? To me, reset means restart by hitting the power button. Are you talking about running a System Restore to get you computer back to a date and time when it was running correctly or are you talking about a System Recovery that will set your computer back to when you first purchased it?

1. you need to remove the power cover (if you see the power button, that what i mean).
2. after you remove that cover, you will see 2 screw that hold the keyboard. Remove both screws.
3. Remove keyboard and replace it with new keyboard.

go to http://www.sysresccd.org/Download
download the iso and burn it to a cd.
boot your computer with it
read the explanations coming up on the screen and when you see that you can choose how to start, type "wizard"
choose the top choice (auto)
when it starts right click on the desktop and start GPARTED.
one of the discs will be marked as "boot"
right click the disc called "recovery" (or the one that is not marked as boot).
choose manage flags
set it to Boot.
press apply on top (not always needed tho)
in the left picture (the one that opened from the start)
type reboot
remove the cd when you see the acer logo again.
the acer recovery manger should start.
