Just got this from LeapFrog. Worked for me, although it toook a couple of attempts.
For Macs:
Please try downloading and running this tool and connect the Tag Reader when prompted:

1. Close the LeapFrog Connect application.
2. Double-click on this link
http://lfccontent.leapfrog.com/cs/tools/LeapFrogTagFixTool.exe then click "Run."
3. Click "Unzip" to extract the files.
(You will be asked for a location to save the files. Save them to your Desktop or to another folder that you can easily find.)
4. After the files are extracted, find the "LeapFrogTagFixTool" folder on your Desktop (or where you saved the extracted files).
5. Open the folder and double-click the "TagFixTool.exe" file to open the LeapFrog Tag Repair Utility program.
6. Connect your Tag Reader to the computer. (Make sure your toy is powered on.)
7. To start the repair process, click the "Click once to fix your Tag Reader or Tag Junior" button.
8. Once the repair process is complete, follow steps printed on the screen to close the program and open LeapFrog Connect.
No, the ClickStart does not have a ball-type mouse.
mouse won't respond. Can't find reset for key board or control other than off/on.
Movement of mouse and cursor on screen is very uncoordinated. When the mouse is moved the cursor may or may not move in the same direction.
I have the same problem, the mouse does not coordiante with the movement I want it to do, and it is not a ball mouse it is laser
The laser mouse doesn't respond when moved. How can I fix this? Or can I buy a replacement mouse?
The mouse acts as if it doesn't belong with computer.
My son's mouse just froze up after 1 month of use.
My mouse isn't working either - as soon as I turn the game on I see the cursor (arrow) move to the bottom left hand side of my TV screen and it just stays there. It won't move no matter how much I move the mouse?
