mouse won't respond.  Can't find reset for key board or control other than off/on.

Movement of mouse and cursor on screen is very uncoordinated. When the mouse is moved the cursor may or may not move in the same direction.

  • Anonymous Dec 27, 2008

I have the same problem, the mouse does not coordiante with the movement I want it to do, and it is not a ball mouse it is laser

  • ammyp_21 Jan 03, 2009

The laser mouse doesn't respond when moved. How can I fix this? Or can I buy a replacement mouse?

  • Anonymous Jan 17, 2009

The mouse acts as if it doesn't belong with computer.

  • Anonymous Jan 30, 2009

My son's mouse just froze up after 1 month of use.

  • Anonymous Feb 01, 2009

My mouse isn't working either - as soon as I turn the game on I see the cursor (arrow) move to the bottom left hand side of my TV screen and it just stays there. It won't move no matter how much I move the mouse?

The mouse seems to be frozen, when you start the laptop up it is no longer possible to move the mouse. I have tried left click, drag and right click but nothing seems to work, including contal alt del.

Your touchpad may have stopped working either from it is damaged or somehow the driver/software was diabled or removed. You could try re-booting in safemode and see if the mouse can move to verify the touchpad is working. Also try using a usb mouse to see if you can move the indicator with that so you can try to re-install the drivers/software.

I got a leapfrog click start my first computer

yes there should be two parts. First there is the actual computer and the second is the base (where the games are connected to). The television should be set where you would usually watch a dvd/or play  a game(depending on what model tv) the computer is wireless so you can use it from the sofa etc. but you must have the base in order for the game to work. I just purchased one and my son loves it.

Leapfrog mouse doesn't respond on screen

We had this happen within the first 30 minutes that we owned the Click Start! It still happens periodically when the kids are using it. For us the LED lights are flashing non-stop on the keyboard, and the mouse does not move the cursor on the screen and you cannot "click" on anything either.

Solution: On the underside of the keyboard is a very tiny hole. Push a pin or a paper clip into it, you'll feel some give in there like you are pushing a button. I push it until the lights stop flashing on the keyboard. It's the reset button. So far this has worked for us everytime.

Good luck.

LeapFrog Click Start mouse problem

I bought my son a click start for Christmas and after about 10 days we had this problem as well. If you remove the back plate where the mouse plugs into the keyboard and sort of wiggle and push the cord inward and then replace the plate cover the mouse should work again. I have had to do this several times, which is kind of annoying, but I suppose it's worth it since my son really loves the toy.
