Pc hook-up/sound issues

I just hooked this one to my pc and I'm unable to get the speakers to work. I know there is sound out of the pc because I've tested it with external speakers. I also know the monitor speakers work because they do fine in tv mode. But for some reason the sound output from the pc isn't coming through. I've played with the menus back and forth and there doesn't seem to be anything there indicating improper settings. Any experience with this out there?

On the bottom of the monitor there is a audio input. you must connect you pc output(green) to the monitor input with a male to male audio cord. you can also use a rca cord with two adapters.

I have surrond sound speakers thats loud but wend

I had an issue like that with one of my dell desktops too. The speakers were very quiet. I turned up the volume on the speakers, turned up the volume in windows. Unisntalled and Reinstalled audio drivers, I eventually assumed that the speakers were just junk. After buying a soundcard (I was originally using onboard sound), I discovered that the speakers were much louder through the soundcard than through the onboard audio.

Last week my computer crashed down. We can't contact the technician who used to fix our computer. Now we found a new one who can reformat our computer but this time, he installed windows 7. Now, our...

Make sure the speakers are hooked up properly and also that the sound card drivers are installed, you can verify this by going into the device manager. The main speaker wire has to be hooked up to the output of the computer sound card.

If the sound card drivers are installed and the speakers are hooked up properly and your still not getting sound, try the speakers on another computer that you know has sound. If the speakers work then its a sound card driver issue on the original computer. If the speakers don't work on another computer then you know the speakers are bad.

Install cd for monsoon

What makes you think you need special drivers for your Monsoon speakers? Do other speakers work properly when hooked up to your PC? Borrow a pair from somebody else if you don't have any other speakers you can try, and check. If they don't work either, Monsoon drivers are not your problem. I'm not saying nobody ever needs drivers for speakers to work with a computer, but normally, drivers for the speakers are not the issue if you're not getting sound through them.

The sound card driver and sound settings in BIOS, sound settings in Windows and for the sound card, and physical issues about the way the speakers are hooked up or whether the speakers themselves are functional are much more common sources of trouble than drivers for the speakers.

Start your troubleshooting process with this webpage:
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000034.htm

If that one doesn't seem to address your issue, try websearching for other options with a phrase such as: troubleshoot no sound PC speakers.

One speaker works all the time the others only sometimes

Could be intermittant wiring issue or the speaker itself.

If you have another spare car speaker you can hook up temporarily, I'd start there. Disconnect one of your "bad" speakers and hook up a known good one. If the temp. speaker works OK all the time, then you know you wiring is okay.

Let me know if more ?s!

Cannot figure out how to hook up speakers external on my hp pc de

please check if you have drivers installed for your sound device and if your sound device is working fine. please try following steps, go to start--run--type devmgmt.msc--device manager window will open-- check if u see any yellow mark in front of sound devices

even if you dont see any yellow mark. please go on drivers and download page on hp website. please put your model number in there. If you need any help please let me know i can send you the link for this. download sound device drivers. most of the time HP use realtek ac97 or realtek high defination drivers. it could be different one too. if you are unable to get it from HP website you can download it from realtek.com too
last step : if other steps does't work :
go to start--run--type services.msc ---go to window audio -- if service is stopped for some reason please start it manually by pressing start

Good luck !!
