You can access the router's setup page to retrieve your wpa key. just type http://192.168.1.1 on the address bar of your web browser. you will be prompted to enter the router's password, by default it's 1234. now go to the wireless settings of your router and look for the wireless security and there you will find your key.

hope this'll help you

ciao

Zyxel P660HW-D1 Router. Which settings need to be changed to turn it into a repeater and connect with my main broadband router.

Can't use a router as a repeater in a wireless sense. You could set it to AP mode and run an ethernet cable from a lan port on your other router to the WAN/uplink port on the Zyxel. If it doesn't have AP mode then you could have it in gateway mode run have a different subnet on the Zyxel with DHCP.

I can't find my wpa key

You need to log into your router and set a new WPA key phrase or simply read off the old one using an ethernet cable.

ZyXel gives nothing

Can you go to http://192.168.2.1 in your browser? See if it brings anything up. You should see tabs for security settings. Also, you could "reset" your router back to factory defaults as well if no other option.

HELP!!!!!! Trying to enable wpa-psk security on my laptop?

You should set the security on your computer wifi card to wpa-psk and then type in the securitycode which is written in your Zyxel Router.
If this is not possible with your networkcard, change to wpa or wpa2 inside the Zyxel. And do the same procedure with your networkcard, when detected the Router.

Problem connecting to Router with Mac Airport

The $ sign or a hash character before the network key only works with WEP 64 bits on Mac, if you enabled WPA(is it TKIP or AES?) make sure that your Mac computer supports that kind of authentication if not try to lower down the security level on the router by using WEP instead of WPA.
