Lakewood 7000/A 1500W Oil-Filled Heater. Is it possible to safely wire a different switch in place of the double switch?

Question edited for clarity.

No, buy the right one. All these switches are common and generic. You can search them, by the number printed on the side of them. They are here on eBay by the looks of it.

We have a Lakewood Model 6500 oil filled heater and need to get replacement casters. Can you help with a website and size for replacement?

You should be able to get them on Amazon. Just measure the stem for diameter and length

No parts suppliers, I read they are no longer in business. The consumer recall probably finished them.

Lakewood 7096

i went all over town looking for a switch. finally found two lighted switches at grainger carling technology part no. 1A824. ground down the outsides glued both together jumped across top and bottom terminal with copper wire and it seems to work fine now.only time will tell. i hate our throw away society which the junk imported in from china seems to foster.
