When you plug in the power cord is there any lightswhatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of thepower cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.

Gateway zx6971 no signal

Let's see if anyone else has a suggestion, but it sounds a bit like the DDC info is not being transferred correctly by the monitor OR you have a bad graphics driver. You should try and boot up in Windows Safe-More by pressing f8 before the windows logo shows on the screen during the boot process. if this does not help, I would suspect hardware malfunction, which means you should connect another known working screen to the computer for testing.

My screen says RGB no input signal when i try to start comp

Check the chord that connects your monitor to your CPU. 1. It might be disconnected, If so, reconnect properly 2. It might be bad. If so change. 3. If the above problems do not work there may be a connection problem from a faulty hardware either on you CPU or monitor. If so take to a good technician for repairs.
I hope you find this helpful.

When i power on my pc,the monitor power indicator lights green but about 3s later it goes brown.the monitor screen remains unchanged as to when the computer was powered off.my email is...

You are not getting a video signal to the monitor. The fact that it is green initially shows it's working. When it turns orange, that's an indicator that it is getting no signal from the computer. So the next thing to check is if your computer is actually booting up or if your video card is going bad.
Do you normally hear a beep when the computer starts? Do you hear it now? If the answer is yes and no, then your computer is not starting up. To troubleshoot, I would suggest opening the case and disconnecting everything but the video, CPU, and memory. See if it starts. (you should get a message about no boot device if this happens)
If still no video, you have a hardware problem most probably related to the video card.

Whenever I turn on my laptop it goes to the screen that says safe mode, safe mode with networking etc... then when i click say start windows normaly it has blue screen that stays for 2 secs and then the...

Select safe mode !

If it finishes booting into safe mode then you can try another re-start.

If on the other hand it does not work after being in safe mode the issue may lie in some software you have recently installed or new hardware.

in either case remove that hardware or software (in safe mode) and try again.
If it still insists on re-booting when you select normal then I would begin looking at possible mal-ware, spy-ware or virus issues.

Should you get a specific error message then that may also be useful in troubleshooting issues.

When you boot up start pressing F8 and you should get a Windows startup page with more options. If you do select Safe Mode
When windows has loaded, goto MSConfig and select Diagnostic Startup. Ok and reboot
