Question about Jenn-Air JGS8850AD Gas Kitchen Range
Folks, Seems this model has continual control panel problems. I bought our jgs8850ad range in 1999. The control panel, although lit with a normal display, cannot be reset. I cannot start the oven, nor reset the clock. I cut off the power from the electrical panel, switched it back on. The control panel hasn't changed. I looked for reset buttons without tearing it apart and found none, although I found a pencil and an M&M underneath it. After reading a few horror stories, I'm now wondering about bothering to repair it at all. Sounds like the repairs run about $500 including handshake and parts for a $1,400 range. Comments? Bunk
SOURCE: Electronic Display
Further inspection found that the ribbon got damaged during the re-instalation of the clock board. A new front control board had to be ordered and installed.

It appears that you have lost one half of your power. That is you no longer have 220 volts but do have 110, enouch to power the electronic ignition. I would check the circuit breaker first to see if it is sending power on both hot wires or just one.
