Poweroutage t.v. won't work now

The power went out while the t.v. was on, I do have a power bar for such ocations. The t.v. is about 6yrs old never had any problems before. When the power came back on in the neighborhood the t.v. turns on , on the screen it says Unusable Signal. i have hooked it up to other cable outlets that run other t.v.s and it still says unusable signal. I have gone into menu and tried to setup , it goes through all the questions and then goes right back to the first menu screen. The dvd player works through it though. Any suggestions on what to do ?

It sounds like the TV set went to default settings. You should go into the menu again with the original remote and go thru the channel setup or guide plus if you have one. Good Luck PS Please dont forget to rate this thread.

Hello,

Sparks means short circuit to the main board of the TV, I would advise to get a new one also get the wall outlet checked before you install new one get the earthing checked too.

Makes quick gurr gurr sound in tower. what is happening. computer is slow too

This sounds like a bad fan, could be a case fan, cpu or power supply so need to identify where its coming from by taking the side of the case off.

I have a mitsubishi ms-65511 and we had a poweroutage for several hours today and now the tv won't turn on and I am getting a continuous green light of death ... HELP

Thats caused by weak capacitors on the DM board which cannot recharge after the power has been restored. Very inexpensive repair . The WS48511 - WS55511 DM repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com has the capacitors and the CD with repair instructions which should solve the issue of the steady blinking green light.
