Ocasionally when watching, horizontal lines appear in the picture. Tapping on the side of the TV makes them go away. Problem is getting worse. The TV is about 5 years old and has been moved several times and sits next to my large subwoofer. Seems like when the subwoofer is on the problem happens more frquesntly. Im thinking something has worked loose but knowing nothing about TVs I dont want to start poking around without any idea what Im looking for. Any help would be appreciated, what to do, what not to do, what to look for, what to test??

i have exactly the same problem, and even the fix seem to be the same,
when I tap either side of the tv, altough I don't have nothing but a DVD player in top of it, but I don't think that is the problem, I got my singnal thru
a smart cable, but I even tried the regular RCA cables (audio y video)
an still the same problem. at first the problem was light, then worsen real bad, to the point that we had to tap it every 5 mins. or so, but then all of a sudden the problem reduced itself, to dont see anithing wrong for a couple os days and so on..........
please help out.......the image is incredible, even though is a projection tv.
I opened the tv, cleaned the lenses, the reflection mirror, and the 3 projction pannels, and the result was an jaw dropping ending ( highly recdomended to do!!!!)
