WMK300 turns on but doest not heat up

My WMK300 turns on but does not heat up. The power light glows but the ready light never turns green.

My Waring Pro heated up during my steam clean. I like to prep my iron by steaming some water before I spray it to cook with. The green light came on breifly, and the iron simply continued to cool down.

The problem is an open thermal fuse. This fuse is located in the fixed grill; it is clamped to the grill and is covered by a white plastic sleeve.

The replacement part should be a 240°C/464°F 10 - 15 Amp thermal fuse. NTE sells a part NTE8242 which works available from Mouser.com for $1.41 plus shipping.

I have the same problem. I had the waffle iron for several years. It started doing this so I replaced it. Within just two months (mayble three uses), now the new one will not get hot as well... I am quite upset

Same thing happened here, I have used the iron 5 times and now it does not heat up. I guess this thing is a piece of junk. It was made in china so I am not surprised!

Waffle iron light goes on gut does not heat up

The most common reason for not heating up is because of a blown thermal fuse. Apparently the controller lets the iron get too hot or the fuse is out of manufacturing tolerance - and so the fuse opens.
The green lamp is normally lit when the relay is off and dark when the relay is on. When cold, the relay normally turns on within a second of power-up (switched on). During power-up, the green (ready) lamp should flicker on, and then as the relay clicks, go dark. If the green (ready) lamp does not flicker, the fuse is probably blown.
The fuse is clamped inside the bottom clamshell in silicon tubing. A replacement fuse (240°C) can be purchased from many sources. The fuse should be re-attached to the wires with new all-metal crimp fasteners.
If the iron is getting too hot and blowing thermal fuses, you may be able to avoid this failure by keeping the thermostat set lower. (Turned a bit counter-clockwise.) If the waffles are no longer dark enough at the ready beep, you may have to use manual override by watching the steam and smelling the waffle.

Model no. wmk300 power Light comes on but it

just fixed mine with info found on hear. If you're a little handy or have someone who is it's a simple fix. Under bottom plate a thermal fuse is connected in black wire under white insulation. I picked one up at radio shack (http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=thermal%20fuse&origkw=thermal%20fuse&sr=1) got the 228 dgree C. I **** insulation and removed. I then cut black wire at connection at each side. I then placed new fuse in line and crimped small connectors on each side. Placed insulation back on and taped up. Screwed back together and it worked fine. Fuse cost $1.69. To think I almost tossed it.

Car wont start diesel engine Could it be the 'glow plug'? what is a glow plug? how can i test?

A glow plug is a small heating element in the cylinder. It heats the diesel so that starting can be made easy. Is your car standing in the open frozen parking If yes, then it would require a lot of battery power to first heat all the cylinders and then turn the engine to start. What we do in such conditions is to light up some fire under the car and heat the fuel system enough for the diesel to warm up a little and thus save the battery for glow plugs. Generally, all vehicles have an indicator light which comes on when the glow plugs are ready for starting. The diesel will ignite on compression, but it has to reach the cylinder and thus has to be flowing. In cold it freezes and hence the need for glow plugs and the heat. If it is parked in heated parking then the need for glow plugs decreases.

No heat

It will initialy take some time to heat, but if it doesnt become hot in 3min or so.. then make sure voltage is properly fed and also check for any switches or reset button. If all this doesnt work then it means the heating coil inside wud have been cut or fused.

Thankyou
