I have an RCA Scenium D61W136D. It is 2 1/2 yrs old and it has just started turning off and on by itself. We will be watching it and then it makes a flicker and a "popping/static" noise and picture goes off, then the power light goes off and then the power and picture come back on and sometimes it continues this cycle or it may stay on for a while and not do it again for a few hours or until the next day. The tv keeps automatically turning off every 5 minutes. It is a RCA Scenium (D61W130). Is there a remote control code to fix this?
I wish I had the idea to install a cooling fan, a local repair shop fixed mine by replacing a power supply component, cost $575 including sales tax. I suspect that a cooling fan would increase the life of the power supply, I will install one!
I had the same problem with mine. It was overheating. I installed a small cpu cooling fan on the back of the unit. No problems since. Good luck.

I have an RCA Scenium model # D40W135D with the same problem as described. The unit will operate normally then shut off and power up, the cycle repeats. Any assistance would be helpful.

I also have D61W130 61In rear projection. I allso turns its self off and on by
its self and is not watchable. I had it repaired 7months ago they replaced a
board. Well now it is doing it all over again. my tv is only 3 1/2 years old
also.
