I had this TV for about 2 years. There seems to be a problem now with the picture, it looks sort of faint yellowish green, even adjustments couldn't fix the problem, the picture just lost its true color it had before, it looks really dull...
I've also had the tv for the same amount of time and tried the same things to fix the problem. Nothing works.I've also had the tv for the same amount of time and tried the same things to fix the problem. Nothing works.

Sounds like your component cables may have come off its contact point. Check to see if your cables have become loose. Pushing them back in place should take care of that but check at the source output and the TV's input. Red Green Blue, when ever one of these 3 come out of contact the TV will produce a color hue relevant to what color remains in contact, looking faint and discolored. If you do find a loose cable connection, inspect the contact ends and squeeze lightly to restore a snug fit but don't do it to hard or you may damage the prongs.

My guess is that you're not missing the color it just appears muted... That problem is a common one in both the 50 and 60 inch models. And if you change video mode with nothing hooked up you'll see a faint color where none should be...
That's simply dust in the optical block on one of either the red, blue or green lcd panel. Wipe it down with a non-linting cloth and a "light" amount of windex and you're back in business...
But check it out by switchin through the video modes with nothing hooked up.. The faint color you see if the lcd panel that's having the most problem and the one that's muting your green.

Hi, Please check lamp in tv as pop sound seems broken lamp. Did you replaced lamp in last 2-3 years in tv? If not, then its lamp that got broken and tv needs new lamp. Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual and its easy, please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv. Thanks.
This seems to be common problem with Sony projection tv. I have the KDF-E50A10 that lasted only 2 years. It's sitting in a corner now until I figure out what to do with it. I am not going to spend another grand to repair it!! Never Sony again.
I've also had the tv for the same amount of time and tried the same things to fix the problem. Nothing works.
