I drag and drop a video into my Zen and it says "cannot copy... the video is unrecognized." The video is supported because it's been on my player before. I'm running XP and they're all avi files.

I have the same issue. Once upon a time my Zen could play my avi files... but then I had to reformat due to some issues. I've come to find out that apparently, only these video files are supposedly supported: WMV9, MPEG1/2/4-SP, Motion-JPEG, compatible DivX® 4, 5 and XviD . AVI is not supported and needs to be converted.

I could swear it was supported once though.

Make sure you have media player 11
If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
Download recovery tool off creative's website.
go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them

Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix
If that doesn't fix it try the USB cable

My Zen V Plus 2GB blanked music and wont re-download it!

C00D11D2 is a Windows error, not a Zen problem.
If you want to try one more thing on the computer, look at this link:

As a first try though, I think it sounds like there is a library issue on the player itself. Try a hard reset (push an opened-out paperclip into the reset hole on the side). This should then mean that the player re-builds the library of existing files when you next turn it on.

Won't Import MP3's From Computer

Try this...Push a pin into the reset hole at the bottom of the player while at the same time holding down the play and power buttons. Next on the recovery screen that shows up, run the ":clean-ip" function. Then try again to import the music files.

Downloading music from windows media

Your music files are corrupt, or they are a file extension that the Zen is not compatible with. I recommend you download a few MP3 songs and try to download those, as a test.
