Hi again,
I understand. Must be a glitch somewhere. Anyways, I already posted possible solutions
here your original posting/problem. They were:
1. Power on the Philips FW-R7, leave the left tray empty and closed.
Open the tray and put in a recorded CD (not a CDR but a regular CD from
your music collection), close the right tray. Wait a couple of seconds
as the FW-R7 reads the CD. Now open the tray, remove the music CD and
insert your CDR. The FW-R7 should read the CDR without the error
message and record to the CDR from any source. Let me know if this
works for you;
2. laser cleaning or realignment (would need a service center);
3. try using lower then 40X blank CDs.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
I tried over and over again, took the power of the recorder and back again, tried new discs, tried my own made discs, tried discs I bought in different shops, etc.
power is on but not disc read and stop every think.
reads no disc in left tray
