I got a newAT and T DSL and set up the 2wire. It works good on my desktop that is hard wired to the modem, but my laptop is not connecting to anything. It detects and connects to the network, but wont do anything with it. It has an IP address and is even sending and recieving packets. Not sure what to do.
Most likely there is a problem with your pc, try turning off your wireless card wait 30 sec. and then turn it back on if it gives you a valid ip which should be a 192.168.... number than there is nothing wrong with the connection, if you are using a windows xp go to start and then run type in services.msc click ok maximize the box scroll down to the bottom you should see wireless zero config, right click choose properties click stop if the service is started click start if it is not, if it says the service is started then click stop and then click start again, then click ok restart the pc if it is vista you are using you will go to your start button->all progrms->accessories->run and then follow the instructions above, if that does not work go back to run (for xp) and type in cmd (for vista right clck on command prompt under accessories and choose run as admin) then in the black cmd box that pops up type in netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt wait and then type in netsh winsock reset restart the pc and attempt to surf , if it is still not letting you contact the pc manufacturer.
