Poblem with camcorder

Mechanical fault. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service centre for Sony. Electro help

The error display shows that the camcorder has some mechanical fault.Follow the instructions below.

1. Eject the Tape
2. Set to OFF
3. Detach the battery
4. Reattach the battery
5. Power ON as usual

Simple faults will be recovered when performing the above procedure.Good Luck

Sounds as though the imager may have failed but make sure you are in video postion instead of memory mode. Little switch behind the lcd screen. Larry's Electronics

no that u must remove ur camera and try to clean all strip that connect with board and mechanisum and all connectors legs solder then it will work .any doubt call u.a.e no 00971503853766

sc-d353 got wet slightly the camera part is working but good tapes display eject sign and in the middle of the screen displays the eject symbol and ...r please help

I had that problem also and I found that using smaller tapes helped. I was using the 120 minute tapes, I think they may be too heavy.

Seems video head of your handy-cam is dirty or clogged. Use good quality video head cleaning tape to clean video head.

The only thing I can find on this (and its silly sounding I know) is the following: 1) Moisture condesnation build up, leave the door open for 1 hour or more 2) The tapes you are using have write protection enabled

Are there any error codes listed? Usually when a camcorder constantly ejects the tape it is because of a fault being present, the most likely one is moisture. Leave unit in a dry environment for a day with the cassette door open then try it. If you are sure the unit does not have moisture in it you probably have a bad moisture sensor. They go bad frequently. It is the small square device usually located on the deck base near the video drum and sometimes on the base of the drum. I do not know if you are capable of replacing this unit. If not you will need to find a reputable repair facility to get an estimate. Keep in mind from the description you gave of the problem it could be about anything. This is just the most common problem for this symptom.
