Monitor comes on, shows the screen for a second then goes blank
The monitor is still getting power as they power light is still blue, I switch it off and then on again and it will show the screen for a second then goes blank.
I'm using a different monitor on the same computer so it doesn't seem to be the graphics card.
Hi, its a manufacture problem, i tried this monitor on another computer and the same thing happened.
Its still under warranty and i'm currently awaiting the new one being delivered.

Currently no solution. I was here to see if someone knew if this could be solved by downloading a new monitor. Graphics card works as I am using a monitor right now. Is there a selection to leave the analog and go to digital? I have a FPD1960 TFT LCD bought used.

I think it is down to ur existing monitor drivers if u unistall them and then go to ur manufacturing site for ur new monitor and download the drivers for ur monitor and then try taking ur existing monitor out and bye plugging ur new monitor in it should support the drivers and work trust me it should work i done it last night. hope it helps night!
You have a blown capacitor. I have a 19in Sceptor that did the same thing. I going to Radio Shack to buy the parts tommorrow. Should take about 30 minutes to de solder and re solder the new Capacitors.
Warranties and customer support
Xerox have the worst reputation for customer services, I ignored this advice at my cost. Faulty goods= invoked my warranty after 6 weeks old, I have waited over 4 months for my replacement, yes they collected the faulty unit, and left me with no monitor or refund. Sick of phoning and emailing, having to take a legal route with them now, so be warned.

Re:
The main problem is here is the graghics card its needs to updated and make sure the pins are alright on the display cable. Also you need to uninstall the integreated one that came with the PC first before you install a graghics card. so right now you need to put the display back to the motherboard display then when you have that done then you put it in the grafics card you have then it should something i had the same promblem for awile i couldnt figure it out either. Hope that works for you. Good luck

Could be a power issue. If it doesn't show anything at all then that may be the case. It may also be the display itself. It would be a costly repair so you might be better off finding a new monitor.
Ok, another words, monitor powers up for few seconds and shuts down by itself. If green LED on the front panel turns off as well or stays on? If stays on, then inverter turns into protection mode because of old backlight lamps. If it turns off in same time with an image on the screen, then there are some bad electrolytic capacitors in the power supply.
HOw about the light on the tower? if its stedy green then the tower is ok then run a self test on monitor if it passes the monitor is also ok then unplug the power cable from the monitor and data cable also and press and hold the power button for 10 sec and then connect the monitor to the system
The monitor you have has bad components on the circuit boards inside. This is a classic problem with all LCD monitors. I rebuild them on a daily basis so I recognize the symptoms. I would suggest finding someone who can do component level repair on the circuit boards inside. I also suggest not trying to repair yourself as there are many breakable components to them as well as components inside that do not like static electricity discharges.
i just finished repairing a 20 inch acer monitor that had the same issue.... you have to take it apart and examine the power supply side of the monitor. there are capacitors that go bad on that board. you can tell be feeling the tops of them... the feel rounded. replace the capacitors and put it back together and it will work fine
Sounds like either there is a bad connection from the computer to the monitor, or the monitor has a faulty power regulator, causing the monitor to overheat prematurely, and shut off.
