Resetting clock on 2002 Suzuki Vitara

My battery was recently disconnected and upon reconnecting my clock is set to the wrong time.  I for the life of me cannot figure how to get the time reset. Please help!
It has been suggested to use the "display" button.  My car does not have a display button.

Hold the arrows on the bottom right hand side until you hear a beep. The one on the left is for the hours and the right is the minutes. I tried every button combination for a month until i figured out it was triggered by holding. Hope this helps.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Hi

the cheapest way is to disconnect the car battery overnight, normally 3 hours is enough as this resets the cars computer and the immobiliser. failing that it could be a dealer job. do you have the remote keyfob?
Regards
Dan

p.s if you disconnect the battery reconnect it with the red wire first then the black

Hi Howard,
I found some removal instructions here:

I personally do not currently have the removal instructions for the clock but I do offer a repair service for these clocks. Let me know if these instructions help!!

2002 Grand Vitara engine light

Try these easy things...take off clean and reconnect the battery cables, take to Auto Zone for a FREE computer hook up. More than likely if the battery hook up doesn't work it's the oxygen sensor.
