Question about Samsung HLN5065W 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Even with the volume controls at zero the TV has developed a tinny buzzing noise. This is a Samsung HLN5065.
The Samsung HLN5065 is a DLP TV. Color wheel or fan. Thefan is the last to turn off. That's how you'd check it. Tube

Sounds like an Electrolytic Capacitor is leaking. If you have a capacitor checker you may be able to find the one leaking pretty easy. You could use a poor mans meter a VOM, put it on Ohms attach the Positive lead to the + side and the negitive side to the - and see if it will charge if not replace it. This will not always work unless you remove the capacitor.
