Question about Hotpoint FFA70 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
Neither the freezer or refer sections are cooling? Can you hear if the compressor is running (black soccer ball sized unit underneath)? Could be "stuck" in the defrost cycle (happens a lot).

The fan that keeps the compressor cold could also be clogged. A lot of the time if it is clogged, the sides between the fridge and freezer will be extremly hot due to the freon line that runs through there. The fan is usually found in the back of the fridge behind a panal. Make sure to turn the fridge off before messing with anything. Vacumn the fan and pick out any fibers that may be keeping it from spinning. Turn the frige back on and BE VERY CAREFUL and try to knudge it with a peice of wood or other item (not your fingers) to help get it started. Good Luck!

Was defrosting the small freeazer section on my fridge - turned it to zero. The light went out immediately and the fridge is no longer working along with the freezer bit
