Mikomi m6607 i have just bought this webcam from argos and when i try and view the camera it just shows a black screen, it's the same on messenger, i tried adjusting focus and re installing the driver but it just won't work. please please help if you have an idea what is wrong. Thanks.

Changing he settings for my mikomi M6607 webcam

you found those into start all programs........so ...its just a name issue...the videocap ...is what you are looking for ...but the easiest way to make changes...its to start your web cam on a IM program ...preferable yahoo messenger ...cause on them ..the web cam has a separate window...
after that from the left corner click files ../preferences...it will open a window where you will click camera settings ...and that's all you make your settings ...(save ) aply ...and done..
I told ya to do so ...cause if you will try from the AMcap ...(videocap ) in your case...it will probably not display the kinda settings you want ...cause its a capture starter ...

Logitech QuickCam E3500 to use with Yahoo Messenger

  • Is there enough light in the room? Flip a switch to light up the room a bit more.
  • Is your camera functioning properly? Try your camera alone; separate from Yahoo! Messenger, using the manufacturer's software that came with the camera.
  • Yahoo! Messenger might have the wrong camera selected. Follow the steps below to change your camera source.
  1. Click "Messenger"
  2. Click "My Webcam.
  3. Click "Messenger" again.
  4. Select "Preferences."
  5. Click "Webcam."
  6. Click "Camera Source."
  7. Click the pull-down menu and select the camera you want to use.
  8. Click "OK."
If that doesn't work, your friend might have one of the same problems with the camera on his or her end. They should try the same steps to see if that helps.

Obi cam wont work in messenger

If you see a black screen when broadcasting your webcam:
There may not be enough light in the room. If so, illuminate the room appropriately.
Your camera may not be functioning properly. Try your camera with the manufacturer's software.
The correct camera may not be selected by Yahoo! Messenger. To change your camera source:
1. Click the "Messenger" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Start My Webcam."
2. Click the "Messenger" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Preferences."
3. Click the "Webcam" category.
4. Click the "Camera Source" button.
5. Click the pull-down menu and select the desired camera.
6. Click the "OK" button.
If you see a black screen when viewing a friend's webcam:
Check the status message at the bottom of your viewer window. If it says "Stopped," the person broadcasting has stopped broadcasting images. Ask the person to resume broadcasting and try viewing again.
If the person is in fact broadcasting and you still see a black screen in your viewer, ask them to check their camera and take the webcam compatibility test.

I bought a mikomi dc-7115 webcam and all i can see is a white sreen and everyone else thats on msn yahoo and frogcam iv installed and uninstalled 6 times and its still the same

Apparrently after looking for this product, I could not find much of a lead to the manufacturers website.

The biggest problems with mikomi models are driver issues.
The worst part is Mikomi does not have an official website due to the fact that a company argos a company retailer from United Kingdom and a part of Ireland.

If your product came with a Cd with drivers and you installed the product the proper way, it should work with no problem.
Usually drivers will give you utility tools to test your webcam.

If that doesnt work, check the system requirements for the webcam. Make sure your computer meets those requirements. Then Proceed by making sure your system is up to date. ESPECIALLY the Messengers you would like to use your Cam on. This usually does the job.

If the above does not work, try removing Messengers, Re-intalling a newer up to date messenger...
(some of the newer were made to work on up to date messengers)... Then proceed to re-install your webcam.

Lastly try cables.

These are possible solutions to getting the webcam to work. I hope this works

If not i hope someone can give you another great solutions. Some issues are harder to fix than others. Driver issues can be complicated because it can be many things. or order of installation.

Mikomi ap7121

I cannot find any place to get drivers for the mikomi webcams. All I could find is a manufacturer's phone number: 08456 403030.

Mikomi Webcams are made by Argos http://www.argos.co.uk

You may just have to contact them for help.

Mikomi AP-7120 Webcam Driver

HI ! THANX FOR THE EMAIL BUT I FIXED IT BY GETTING RID OF MY OLD WEBCAM AND GETTING A NEW ONE AS THE INSTALLATION CD FROM MY OLD ONE HAD A CORRUPT FILE ON IT FOR ONE OF THE SECTIONS I HAD TO INSTALL.
