My lg dishwasher model LD-12AW2 shows up with an ie on the display, we have checked the bottom strainer and cleaned it, it works for about 5 mins before this display shows up
SOURCE: ie problem on lg dishwasher
The IE is telling you it is not getting enough water. Could be your water pressure is low. Check to make sure the there is not a build up of grime, or calcium deposits in the water hose, and at the valve.
The other thing is if your unit is an older one, prior to mar 07, you may have broken wires in the door. Remove the door panel and look for any wires that are stuck in the insulation. The sensor wires are thin and gray in colour. Splice the wires and put some of the white insulation in between the wires and the door so it cannot happen again.
Broken wires can be hard to find if the break is not all the way through.

We have a problem with our LD 0470 Dishwasher. It gives us a E1 reading. Water flows in and is then pumped out again & it gives us the E1 reading. We have cleaned all filters and checked the inlet & outlet pipes for blockages but still have the same problem. We hope you can help.
taking no water-runs for about 4 minutes and cut off-ie code appears
My LG dishwasher also gives the IE error message about 2 minutes after start. If you just push play every time it stops (for about 40 times) you can complete a cycle... Filters is clean, water outlet is fine.. How can I fix this??
LG Model LDS581111ST. IE error a couple minutes after starting. The water supply is fine, and I replaced the water inlet valve assembly, but I still have the same problem.
