Your circulation pump is stuck. there is nothing you can do with a wrench, your tech is mistaken. the only thing you can do is to drain all the water out. after the drain cycle, stop the machine and turn it off. remove the triple filter in the bottom, and bail as much water out as possible. soak it up with a sponge or paper towels etc. now put a quart of water in the microwave and heat it to boiling. pour the hot water down in the sump area of the dishwasher and let it sit for 10 mins. try to start a cycle after 10 mins. ( you can leave the filter out for now) if it works, you are done and you just saved 800 dollars. if not, try that proceedure 3 more times in a row. if it still does not work after 3 times, you will probably have to replace the circulation pump.

Check the very bottom tray under the machine. Remove the lower front cover, 2 screws, and you'll find a tray full of water. A Turkey Baster will **** most of it out, towel the rest.
Once dry, the machine will operate through all cycles, most likely.
This is a common problem with this model. I have to do this about once a year.
SOURCE: Miele G646 dishwasher keeps trying to pump out
Had a similar problem with an 846, but with the inlet outlet lamp flashing. the bottom tray had filled with watedr froma dodgy seal. I switched off and disconnected the electricity. Removed the bottom front cover below the door (2 screws behind the pretty kickboard which also had to come off). The bottom of the machien was a big puddle. I dried this out with paper twowel, put the machine back together and it ran fine. I am going to replace the pump seals now as the machine seems otherwise OK.
Good luck with yours. rupertvdpP

SOURCE: Miele Dishwasher G892SCU Plus Intake/Drain light keep flashing
Hello RD,
Every Miele dishwasher is designed to drain water in the first 30 seconds of any cycle. Does your intake/drain light come on at all? Miele technical services can troubleshoot the fault code if you do get an intake/drain light.
The most common issue I have seen is that the dishwasher drain line is clogged.
Solution - Try checking the airgap at the top of your sink, if nothing there then check the end of the drain line usually connected to the garbage disposal if you have one. I would reccomend disconnecting the end of the drain line and putting it into a bucket. Let the dishwasher run for 30 seconds and if it drains then its a problem with your garbage disposal. If not I would contact Miele technical support to troubleshoot the fault code
Good luck

Try more or less detergent. Is rinse aid solution and detergent dispensers working properly? Otherwise, you may have an issue with quality of water.
Hi
First
check if the drain hose is not clogged and try to clean it as it can be that
the hose is clogged and the water is not draining properly. After that check if
the drain pump filter is fine and not clogged, try to clean that as well. After
this check the metal filter, impeller cover and the air gap unit. After checking this you can
reset the error as follows: turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or
press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the
appliance off and then back on again. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.
