Machine keeps stopping between cycles, turning power off wall for hour seems to reprogram and start machine to next cycle then stops again

  • Anonymous Mar 28, 2012

We have recently moved house, After installing washing machine in its new position I decided to do a wash. After selecting required wash cycle and pressing the start button the machine filled to the requested level then did nothing, lights were still on ( but no one was at home ) so to speak. After a few truble shooting problems checking level of machine , lose connections etc, I have found machine will go through all cycles if I turn power off at supply ( not machine ) when it stops, leave for about a hour then turn on at power supply again it resumes to the next cycle and again stops until turning off power for about a hour again. It does everything, fills with water, washes, rinses, draines, and spins , but as mentioned you have to power off / on every hour between cycles. AAAAGGHHHH .

It sounds like an 11 series machines,
When power supply gets warm it stops.
You will need a technician to fix the power supply in the brown board.

SOURCE: F&P washer lights on and beeps

Clogged pump stopped up drain. If the washer does not think all water was pumped out in 8 minutes then it shuts down. Slow drain is my first inclination.

  1. Found This HelpfulSometimes something will go wrong in your washing machine that will cause it to lock up or stall. An overloaded washer or a brief power surge can cause this. The washer may not drain or spin properly, or it may stop the cycle in the middle of the wash. Another cause may be that the washer was stopped before the cycle was able to complete. In this case, the washer will spin and drain over the next 24 hours, but it will stall before reaching the final spin. GE has two simple methods to reset the controls
For Newer Washers:
    • 1 Unplug the washer.
    • 2 Twist the control dial around the cycle settings.
    • 3 Place the dial on any setting other than the final spin.
    • 4 Ensure that the water line is securely attached to the washer.
    • 5 Plug the washer back into the wall (making sure it has gone at least 30 seconds without power).

Fisher and Paykel 7.5 washing machine keeps powering off during rinse and spin cycles

The pump has a thermal safety cut out on it.
If the pump gets too hot it cut out.
Just put a new pump in and your all going again.

Washing machine keeps beeping then all lights and screen start flashing.

i would guess that you have a faulty main board, the quickest and surest way to determine the problem and that is to replace it with a second hand board out of an known old machine which has faulty seals.

DE code on WM0642HW TROMM washing machine We've been getting this error code on our washing machine for some time. The code is coming up quite frequently now. It stops the cycle so the load is not...

HI, this is a Door Open Error.

Possible Causes are..-

* Door not all the way closed
* Loose electrical connections at door switch and pwb assembly(Control Board)
* Door switch assembly is out of order(Miss aligned)
* Gasket on door may be creased in

Most common issue here will be a defective door lock switch. check all causes before replacing the switch.

TAKE NOTE IF THE WATER HAS DRAINED OUT. RE START THE CYCLE ONCE MORE AND IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, THE TIMER CONTROL IS DEFECTIVE.
