SHARP,PIERCING, ALARM LIKE NOISE COMING FROM TV

My Olevia LT32HVM 32 in. LCD gives of this sharp, annoying, piercing, penetrating sound every now and then. I've had for 4-5 months now. The TV worked fine 2 1/2 months in. Now there is this very loud alarm like sound coming from it. It is extremely loud and frightening if you are not expecting it. It is even louder than the TV itself. I have my surround sound receiver, dvd, cable and VCR connected to TV. I'd greatly appreciate anyone who can give an idea of what this might be. Thanks much for assistance.

Believe me I've tried just about everything already. I've given up. I think it's an issue with the set itself and not as a result of any of the components. Thanks for the assistance.

I had the exact same problem with an Olevia 542I purchased in Dec 2006 . . . a loud (top volume) "fire alarm" noise from the TV when you least expect it that would only stop by cycling the power. It practically knocked me out of bed. The cat's were freaking out! Olevia replaced the TV when it was five months old. Now the sound has gone out on the replacement (which was a refurb unit) after less than a year. The RCA outs still seem to work. Olevia refuses to do anything even now though the TV is clearly a lemon. I've found numerous other postings about Olevia sound issues such as these. I won't buy another Olevia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unhhok all the sources from the tv as to eliminate where it might be coming from, hook up one source at a time you might find the problem that way

Could you give me the link that lists other sound problems about Olevia TV's? My sound fades in and out. It's annoying.

Thank you.

Having trouble missing stitches while quilting with walking foot.

Might try changing the needle. Try a top stitching needle. Sometimes needles bend slightly piercing 2 or 3 layers of fabric plus batting, so using a larger, sharp needle penetrates better.

OK first above is your model service manual, above that, are training manuals so you can troubleshoot and repair.

Olevia 32" lcd tv made a loud, popping noise, shut off & now it won't come back on. When it popped, I noticed a spark

It seems that your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done. It is that sound that gives it away, this is a typical switchmode Power Supply problem.

Sound Noise Using HDMI Cable

The first solution was to use the remote controls on the recorders and shuttle from 480p to 720p to 1080i.

The other solution was to run left and right audio cables from the output of the DVD recorder to the audio inputs of the tv. Then, go into the setup menu of the recorder and tell it not to output sound using the HDMI cable.

The first solution has to be done each time the machines are turned on for the first times of a day.

The second solution fixes the problem once and for all....
