The operating system is stored on the hard drive. If the BIOS can't find the O/S then the hard drive is damaged or the windows installation is corrupted. Boot to the BIOS screen and see if you can see the hardrive listed on the information tab. If you can see the drive, you either have bad sectors on the hard drive or a corrupted boot file. You can insert your windows disc and start the machine. Click install now, choose language and on the next screen click 'repair computer'. Choose 'startup repair' this will rewrite the windows boot files.

SOURCE: my hp pavilion xt 565 keeps saying "Operating System Not Found"

A few things can fix this, all depends on what exactly is wrong, it could be the hard drive, you can access the bios and go to diagnostics and run the hard disk scan, if either fail call hp and see if they will replace it, if your out of warranty its failry simple and not to expensive to do yourself. you can also attept a recovery if you have the disks...one of these two will work its a 50/50 hope it helps!

SOURCE: my hp pavilion 4200 i took the hard drive out and

The laptop can't find a hard disk, eirher the hard drive is faulty or not seated properly.
Take out the hard drive and reseat it again then see if the laptop boots up. If it still can't find the hard drive, listen to the hard drive, is it spinning up, is it making clicking noises? This indicates a faulty drive and needs to be replaced.
You can also test the hard drive by removing the hard drive and attaching it to a USB hard drive adapter and then plug it into a working computer's USB port. If the hard drive is OK then the computer will see it as an external drive and you can view and open the files.

SOURCE: While trying to boot my hp Pavilion dm1 I get

Typically this is caused by a corrupt windows file which can be caused by a bad disk drive or a software error that has screwed up the disk indexes.

Use your Win7 disk and do a system repair (NOT INSTALL). Often this will clear up any problem.

After that it gets complicated and you probably will need the assistance of a local computer store.

I need sound device

Go the google.com and type in "HP Support" in the google search argument. Look for drivers and downloads on the HP site. It will require you at some point to enter in Pavilion 6510F to search for the drivers for that model. Then once the model of your computer is found, you will have to select your operating system. One you have the model and operating system download and install the Audio Driver.
