Laptops aren't supposed to replace your HiFi, just plug in some external speakers.

you do 2 things:
1) restart the computer HOLD the keys CTRL or FN+f11 or f12 depend of your mark, and go to restore to factory default
2) get assistance support from Gateway via ONLINE chat, they guide you to download the driver in case that you need. before do the first steps that I did mentioned.

Do you mean that the keyboard is not working as in, let's say the "enter" key doesn't function, or other keys do not function?
Or do you mean that there are specialized keys (usually media keys) on your netbook that don't seem to function?

Thats because it has a sealed keyboard, that kind of keyboard you cannot open it without destroying it, so don't complicate, just buy a new keyboard they're not expensive.

You will probably have to get another XP disc and do it.The one for your desktop isn't valid for a fresh install on your laptop i don't believe.

If your LAN is working but the internet can't be reached the problem will likely be that you don't have the correct dns number in your configuration or the gateway number is wrong. The gateway address is the ip # for the router. The dns address is the one your ISP uses.

Try setting up one pc to the router and get it working to the net first. Then do the same for the other computers. Each will have the same gateway address, the router's address, and all will have the same DNS addresses from your ISP.

I couldn't find instruction on how to replace keyboard even on gateway website. Don't know why they don't offer one. However, I found this below link from youtube for you. It shows how to step to disassembly and repair gateway parts. It is very easy to replace keyboard. Just watch the video, and I am sure you can do it.
