Question about Mag Innovision LT776s 17" LCD Monitor
I have the same problem - the blank/black screen and blinking green power light. The speakers on the monitor work (I can hear the start-up sound that Windows makes), but the screen is blank. We bought the monitor on Halloween Night 2003 at Best Buy and had zero problems to date...except for last night. The Best Buy gang told me this afternoon that it was an internal hardware issue. I called the manufacturer and the tech guy confirmed the problem by saying he was almost positive it was the internal "inverter board" - which means you have to send it in to get it fixed. I guess this is a fairly common problem with these monitors by the way he made it sound. So, that's a $70.00 deal (service, parts, labor, and shipping back to your house) - that is, if there are no other issues with the screen itself - then the cost goes up. So by the time you pay to send it to them and then pay them to fix the board - it looks like you're better off buying a new flat panel monitor. Yikes. Anybody else with any suggestions - other than buy a new one? Thanks!!
